Master Cleanser Detox Diet / Fast – Workshop Outline
The Ingredients:
- Organic Lemons or Limes
- Organic Grade B Maple Syrup
- Cayenne Pepper (40,000 HU’s or better, the hotter the better)
- Sea Salt
- Herbal Tea of your choice containing Senna (Smooth Move, 3 Ballerina Tea, etc)
- Herbal Tea of your choice, Peppermint, Mint, Chamomile (avoid caffeinated teas).
- 1 or 2 1.5 litter plastic water bottles.
- 1 quart size plastic container.
The Recipe:
Assuming you are mixing ingredients in a standard 1.5 large plastic water bottle;
- 10 to 11 Tablespoons of Lemon juice (freshly squeezed).
- 10 to 11 Tablespoons Maple Syrup.
- 1 Teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper (or to taste).
The Prep:
- Typically this diet is followed for ten to fourteen days. Schedule your start date to coincide with a relatively stress free series of days. It will be more appropriate to set a start day after you sell the house, quit your job, etc. Make sure your mate, children, close friends and those who may influence your progress are on board with your choice to improve your health.
- If you are not having regular bowel movements (at least once a day), take steps to improve your regularity before starting.
- If you have ongoing health concerns or illnesses, consult with your health care provider before starting.
- One or two days prior to your start date, start to eat lighter foods and reduce your consumption of meats and processed foods.
- You should be able to follow your normal work schedule and lifestyle while on the fast if done in a calm and relaxed manner. Avoid excessive stress and strain and unnecessary agitation.
- Be mindful of your bodies signaling. Increase rest time and hydration as needed.
The Process:
- Mix lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper in a 1.5 litter container. Add fresh drinking water to fill container. Heavier persons can use less syrup, lighter persons can add slightly more.
- Consume about one to two bottles of Lemonade freely during the day. Drink water as needed when not drinking the lemonade. If you like, you may have peppermint, mint or chamomile teas.
- If needed, drink an herbal tea containing Senna before going to bed. If more assistance is need drink another cup upon waking in the morning.
- In the morning (after waking) initiate a cleansing bowel movement by consuming one quart of warm water containing two teaspoons of sea salt mixed in. Allot approximately one to two hours of time afterwards for solution to move thru system.
Breaking the Fast:
It is important after doing an extended fast that you allow you stomach time to get re-acclimated with solid foods. Start with freshly squeezed fruit juice or freshly made vegetable broths. One should stay away from canned juices, soups or broths.
The Original Master Cleanser Diet program suggests:
- Day One: Several 8 oz. glasses of fresh orange juice as desired during the day. Extra water may be taken with juice or alone.
- Day Two: Orange juice in the morning. In the afternoon / evening, consume freshly made vegetable soups and broths.
- Day Three: Consume orange juice in the morning and vegetable soup for lunch. In the evening have what ever is desired in the form of vegetables, salads and fruits. No meat, fish, or eggs; no bread, pastries, tea coffee, or milk.
- Day Fourth: Begin to eat normally again. Select healthy foods consisting of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, seeds and sprouts. If desired, consume in moderation lean meats, fish and eggs.
Try not to rush back into eating to soon. Try not to over eat.
